Westerly State Airport is a public use airport located 4 km from the central business district of Westerly, a town in Washington County, Rhode Island.
Humid “subtropical”/Continental climate (Köppen climate classification Cfa/Dfa) - characterized by hot, humid summers and cool/cold winters. Significant amounts of precipitation occur in all seasons in most areas. Winter rainfall (and snowfall) is associated with large storms that the westerlies steer from west to east. Most summer rainfall occurs during thunderstorms.
