Description

Paphos International Airport is located 6.5 km southeast from the city of Paphos, Cyprus. It is the country's second largest airport, (after Larnaca International Airport). Paphos airport is commonly used by tourists on holiday in western Cyprus, providing access to popular resorts such as Coral Bay, Limassol and Paphos itself.

Climatology

Dry-summer subtropical ”Mediterranean" climate (Köppen climate classification Csa) - characterized by hot, dry summers and mild winters. During the summer, subtropical high pressure cells dominate, making rainfall unlikely except for the occasional thunderstorm. In the winter, periodic storms bring rain (snow at higher elevations).
