Amami Airport is an airport located 21.9 km east northeast Amami, a city on Amami Ōshima (Amami Island) in the Kagoshima Prefecture of Japan. It was previously named Amami Oshima Airport.

Climatology

Humid Sub-tropical climate (Köppen climate classification Cwa) - Hot humid summers and cooler winter. Significant precipitation in all seasons but drier in the winter.
