Description

Vance W. Amory International Airport serves the island of Nevis in the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis. The airport has a single runway of about 1,220 m. The airport was previously known as Bambooshay Airport then Newcastle Airport in Nevis. It was renamed in 2002 to Vance W. Amory International Airport.

Climatology

Tropical Monsoon climate (Köppen climate classification Am) - monthly mean temperatures above 18°C in every month of the year and features wet and dry seasons. A tropical monsoon climate typically features less pronounced dry seasons than a tropical savanna climate and see less variance in temperatures during the course of the year. The driest month nearly always occurs at or soon after the "winter" solstice.
