Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport, also referred to as Varanasi Airport, is a public airport located 18 km northwest of the central business district of Varanasi, a city in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

Climatology

Humid “subtropical” climate (Köppen climate classification Cwa) - characterized by hot, humid summers and warm winters. Most precipitation occurs during the monsoon season between late June and late September. Most summer rainfall occurs during thunderstorms.
