Description

Adisucipto (or Adisutjipto) International Airport is the principal airport serving the Yogyakarta area on the island of Java, Indonesia. It is located in the Sleman district, in the Yogyakarta Special Region, on the north-east outskirts of the city. The airport is located about 6 km from the city center.

Climatology

Tropical Monsoon climate (Köppen climate classification Am) - monthly mean temperatures above 18°C in every month of the year and features wet and dry seasons. A tropical monsoon climate typically features less pronounced dry seasons than a tropical savanna climate and see less variance in temperatures during the course of the year. The driest month nearly always occurs at or soon after the "winter" solstice.
