Description

Tongren Fenghuang Airport is an airport serving the city of Tongren in Guizhou Province, China. It is located in the town of Daxing in Songtao Miao Autonomous County, 21 km from Tongren and 34 km from Fenghuang, a popular tourist destination in neighboring Hunan Province. The airport was opened in 2001. Originally called Tongren Daxing Airport it was renamed due to the fame of Fenghuang.

Climatology

Within the Köppen Climate Classification System, ((Koppen climate classification Cwa)) this climate type generally has warm and humid summers with mild winters. Its extent is from 30 to 50° of latitude mainly on the eastern and western borders of most continents. During the winter, the main weather feature is the mid-latitude cyclone. Convective thunderstorms provide precipitation in the summer months.
