Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA)
The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) is a non-profit trade association representing airlines in the Latin American and Caribbean regions. The organization’s stated mission is “to coordinate the collaborative efforts of its members to develop a safer, more efficient and environmentally responsible air transport in the Latin American and Caribbean region.
ALTA has a number of committees, including a Safety Committee, a Training Committee and a Maintenance and MRO Committee. The Safety Committee’s objective is to promote the exchange of information and statistical data to identify the main risks to operations in the region and seek measures to mitigate them.
ALTA has offices in Panama and Coral Gables, Florida.
