SE003: Precision-Like Approaches - Vertical Angles

Background

This safety enhancement develops criteria to support the inclusion of vertical angles on all existing instrument approach procedures allowing for a stabilized vertical descent to the runway end at all certificated airports within the United States.

Completed Outputs

The FAA issued a final rule in March 2000 that requires all new commercial aircraft to be equipped with TAWS equipment by March 2003, and the entire commercial fleet to be equipped by March 2005.
