Anna is passionate about inspiring curiosity around how and why people behave the way they do in the aviation system and finding ways to maximise their performance. She joined the UK CAA in April 2018 as the HF Programme Specialist, working within the Future Safety team. Anna initially trained as an Occupational Psychologist in Auckland, New Zealand, completing a Master of Arts in Psychology. After roles in customer service and recruitment & selection, she joined the Royal New Zealand Air Force as a Psychology Officer in 2008. During her seven years of service she worked across a wide range of occupational, military and aviation psychology and human factors activities. In 2015 Anna moved to Scotland to work with the NATS Human Factors team, adding HF assurance activities and biometric measurement to her experience. Anna is Chartered in the UK as an Occupational Psychologist and endorsed as an Aviation Psychologist with the EAAP. She is a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society, the British Psychological Society and the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors.
