  • ATC procedures:
    • Due to proximity to the north magnetic pole, magnetic variation is not constant; therefore all direction is measured with reference to True North.
    • Takeoffs are normally from Rwy 26T and landings on Rwy 08T.
  • Runway friction: The runway is painted white with red markings. This reduces the braking efficiency even in dry conditions but especially when it is contaminated.
