Description
International airport serving the communities surrounding the Eyjafjörður in northern Iceland. Mostly used by domestic flights, there are some international flights usually in the summer months. Akureyri may be nominated as a diversion for aircraft flying into either Keflavik or Reykjavik in the event that both are unavailable.
