SKYbrary protects your personal data in accordance with the EUROCONTROL Regulation on Personal Data Protection adopted by its Member States, Office Notice 34/08 of 2.7.2008, and its Implementing Rules which were published by Office Notice 25/17 of 25.10.2017.

Why do we collect, store and process your data?

The SKYbrary website offers an insight into aviation safety knowledge to a wide range of people interested in flight safety and air traffic management. It also links visitors to external sites, which are considered of interest to the aviation community.

SKYbrary may collect and process your personal data for a number of reasons: subscription to the SKYbrary newsletters; registration to safety events and conferences; web site statistics; etc.

What personal data do we collect, store and process via the SKYbrary website?

Some of the services offered on our website require the processing of your personal data. Here we give you an overview of the ways this website processes your personal data including the use of cookies. The personal data we collect is divided into the following subsets: subscription-related data and cookies data.

Subscription data

When you become a registered user/ subscribe to our newsletter or register to our events we gather in a dedicated database the personal data necessary to process your request. Furthermore, when launching newsletter campaigns we gather data to assess the impact of a campaign. Hence, depending on the nature of the event or subscription, the following data might be gathered and stored in our dedicated database:

This information generated by our email campaigns is kept and used in anonymised form solely for statistical purposes, i.e. to establish the usefulness of the SKYbrary mail campaigns. Personal tracking data will not be used.

SKYbrary has implemented contractual safeguards that ensure your data is managed in accordance with EUROCONTROL Data Protection rules.
