Military Guidance Material
Military Guidance Material
Best Practice – Military Guidance Material
- Produce information and guidance material to reduce the number of infringements of military airspace.
- Produce local guides to advise pilots of the details of airspace operating techniques, such as standard recovery patterns, times of busy operation and best transit routes.
- Use the general aviation media to advise pilots of changes to military airspace or procedures.
- Use the general aviation media to publicise temporary restrictions of airspace in addition to NOTAM information.
Cost – Some staff costs to produce the material
Examples
After a series of infringements of flying displays, the UK now publishes information regularly in the main general aviation magazines and articles have been produced about the infringement of restricted airspace. Some military units have also produced local guides for general aviation flying in their vicinity or wanting to use their service.
